first_imgWe’re well into the transfer window and several Premier League sides look to be edging closer to doing some big bits of business. We haven’t seen too much movement in the top flight but now managers have had a chance to fully assess their options it could get busy with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and possibly Tottenham, amongst a host of clubs looking to make alterations to their squads. So what are the deals likely to be happening in the coming days? talkSPORT looks at the Premier League players being linked with moves this month, in the gallery above. 5 We all know Wilfried Bony is on his way from Swansea to Man City, but who will follow him in making a Premier League move this January? Click the arrow above, right, to see which three players are rumoured to be on the verge of signing for a PL side this month (and one more attracting serious interest)… – It’s looking like it will be one of the biggest deals of the transfer window with Ivorian striker Bony moving to Manchester City for a reported £28million. It appears just the finer details need to be sorted on this switch but whether he can form a fearsome partnership with Sergio Aguero remains to be seen. 5 5 5 1. Bafetimbi Gomis (Swansea City, linked with Newcastle/Aston Villa/Crystal Palace) – Swansea City have been doing some shrewd business of late and last summer’s free transfer signing of Gomis is right up there as their goal hero against West Ham is attracting plenty of interest. With Wilfried Bony set to join Man City, the French international should step into his place, but rumours persist that he could even be sold for a whopping £9million, with Crystal Palace reportedly leading the race for his signature. 4. Kyle Naughton (Totteham, linked with Leicester City/QPR/Swansea City) Click the arrow for more… – Mauricio Pochettino will begin clearing out the deadwood at Tottenham this January and the first out of the door is likely to be right-back Naughton who is now behind Kyle Walker, DeAndre Yedlin, Eric Dier and even centre-back Vlad Chiriches in the pecking order. Leicester City are keen having already had the player on loan back in 2011/12 but face a battle with Queens Park Rangers and Swansea City to land his services. 2. Saido Berahino (West Brom, linked with Liverpool) Click the arrow for more… – The West Brom youngster’s goalscoring exploits have made plenty of people sit up and take notice, including England manager Roy Hodgson, who preferred him to Harry Kane in his last squad. Winston Reid (West Ham, linked with Arsenal) Click the arrow for more… – The New Zealand centre-back is reaching the end of his contract at Upton Park and if Arsenal put in a big bid West Ham are likely to cash in. A stubborn Sam Allardyce reckons Reid will stay put until the summer but the club’s co-owners could probably be convinced to cash in on the player. 5last_img read more
